When I first found out about the pregnancy, I felt perfectly normal. I had no symptoms and really thought my period was just late. At 6 weeks, I might have been feeling a tad bit bloated, but that was it. Nothing special.
Still feeling bloated at 7 weeks and definitely losing the flat belly. I didn’t feel pregnant, just feeling as though I were gaining weight. I didn’t actually gain any weight though, just a belly of bloat. This is when the symptoms began for me. I started feeling nauseas and stopped eating a lot of foods I had previously loved.
At 8 weeks, we had our first OB appointment. Little one had a heart beat of 170 and growing right on schedule.
At 10 weeks, we drove out to Rockford, IL to visit the In Laws.
Here I am at 11 weeks on Christmas day showing off my little baby bloat. I was still not feeling well at this point.
First trimester symptoms
The nausea! No one told me it would be possible to have “morning sickness” all day. In fact, I would often have it in the afternoon and it would get worse at night. I felt as though I had a hangover from morning until nighttime. I ate bananas and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all day, everyday. They were the few things I had stomach. My prenatal vitamins even made me gag. I had to switch to the gummy prenatals! Love them.
I gained 1 pound and mostly just felt bloated for the firs trimester. By the end, I switched out of my regular pants and into maternity pants, stretchy house pants, dresses, and skirts. Previously, I had only worn skinny jeans, so those didn’t last very long at all.
Baby’s Sex Prediction
At the beginning, I really felt like we were having a little girl. Hubs dreamt of us having a little 5 year old girl with long black hair. I didn’t have any dreams. I thought that our charting might indicate that our chances were higher for having a girl.
