Day 23 – Dark [October Photo Challenge]

My baby Xena is the darker kitty of our two little ones.  I love this photo of her.  She’s so photogenic.  I’m also trying to foreshadow tomorrow’s prompt, black & white.

So for tomorrow’s black & white photo, make sure you think about what image would make a good black and white image.  I typically try for a high contrast photo with not too much intricate detail.

Just a little over a week left of the challenge!  Are you hanging in there?

This is one beautiful cat AND photo.  I'm looking forward to tomorrow's b&w.  Quick question....which might sound primitive to some experienced photographers haha! but is there a setting on some cameras for b&w, or do we do it ourselves while editing?

@Stephanie F Good question, Stephanie.  I think it's whatever makes you most comfortable.  I'm a fan of turning photos into b&w after the fact using a photo editing tool.  My tool of choice is Lightroom.
