While we were demolishing the bathroom, we were also painting almost the entire condo. This too took longer than expected. First, there are so many colors to choose. I had been an avid Pinner on Pinterest and tried to keep track of other blogger’s color choices. None of that seemed to matter when it came to our turn. We still went at it from scratch.
This important! I began with color swatches from several different brands at home depot and our local Benjamin Moore store. In the middle is a 3″x6″ subway tile that we are using for the bath surround and eventually for the kitchen back splash.
We decided to go with our local Benjamin Moore store. They have an all natural zero VOC brand named Natura that we went with. Some might say we went a little crazy with the sample paints. I would actually say we did just enough. This is how many it took for us to figure out what we wanted in each room.
Note to others on painting samples, you should do much larger swatches than we did. We did end up with problems for one room because we didn’t anticipate what the entire room would look like. More on that later.
