Closet for Everything

We have this closet.  It’s in the living room next to the back door.  We painted it the same color as the kitchen. On one side, there is a bar to hang clothes.

The other side has plumbing for a washer/dryer set.

This closet is so small that we measured, measured, and measured again before buying the smallest washer/gas dryer we could find!

Today, it looks like this on the clothes side with our kitties litter boxes on the floor.  I know, clothes with kitty poo?  Yeah, well, we gotta do what you gotta do in a small condo.

And with the washer/dryer in, this is all I could photograph.

This is a GE Unitized Spacemaker Washer and Gas Dryer.  It has been working beautifully.  We definitely need to work on making this small space more useable.  We’ve got some ideas, but we’re waiting for the time and energy to meet up with our inspiration.

Have you organized your closets?

that's great you found something that fit! i'm not bothered by the litter box by the washer/dryer--as you say, you have to make do.

@minaakim Thanks so much for saying that!  I've been really struggling with the litter.  I think it just takes up too much floor space.

Little closets like that are so nice to have! My house doesn't have a ton of random closet space, so I'm jealous!

@loverenovations I guess that definitely is a bright side.  Although, our bedroom closets are super small. You really can't ever have enough closets, can you?

I would love to have my own washer and dryer!

@Hemborgwife It really is the best! Once you get one though... it's really hard to ever go back to life without.
